Genesis Jiu Jitsu Burleson was founded to build a family-oriented community where people of all ages and backgrounds can learn authentic martial arts in a welcoming, respectful environment. Our coaches are the heart of that mission.
A military veteran and one of the founding members of Genesis Jiu Jitsu Burleson (2017), Coach P earned his black belt through years of dedication on and off the mat. He is also a certified AGF referee and brings discipline, heart, and expertise to every class. Coach P has a heartfelt passion for connecting with each of his students — birthdays are often celebrated with real intentionality, making members feel at home in our community.
Coach Deymond has been training Jiu Jitsu and MMA since 2006 and was one of the original members at Genesis from the very beginning. He earned his black belt in 2022 and is a 2011 IBJJF NOGI World Champion at purple belt. Deymond is also an Army combat veteran with tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, where he specialized as a close-quarters combat instructor — skills he now brings directly into his coaching.
Coach Jack is a world-class martial artist with decades of competitive and instructional experience — a multi-time IBJJF No-Gi World Champion holding Black Belts in Judo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Minami Ryu Japanese Jujitsu. Whether teaching Judo, No-Gi grappling, wrestling-based takedowns, or BJJ, Coach Jack emphasizes precision, leverage, and practical technique that students of all levels can apply.
Coach Brandon is a former Infantry Soldier and professional bull rider who brings a unique level of toughness, discipline, and determination to the mats. He also serves as a BJJ referee for MMA grappling events. Over the years, Genesis has become a second home, and Brandon is passionate about growing the community through hard work, discipline, and the courage to keep moving forward.
